This position is for a Senior Software Quality Analyst to assist and partner with an established team environment in the design, development, and implementation methods used to test, troubleshoot and verify newly developed or redesigned software applications in a fast moving, changing environment. This is a contract position with the potential to go perm. The right candidate for this position MUST have credit card processing in a Mainframe environment and the knowledge of how transactions process. This person will not be doing database testing but needs to understand the background of testing. This is a 3-6 month contract.
Have extensive knowledge of common QA practices & methodologies
Analyze business requirements and use them to plan and prepare test documentation
Execute test scripts and analyze the results
Be equally capable of working as an individual or as a member of a team while reporting directly to a team leader or manager.
Have a high degree of technical understanding and be able to follow and participate in meetings
Be able to work on multiple projects concurrently
Have 5 or more years of experience in Software QA
Must have credit card processing experience and heavy portal knowledge; High volume transaction processing experience
Have experience in general testing in both Client Server and web based technologies
Experience with writing and executing Test Plans and Test Cases
Be familiar as a user with Windows and at least one non-windows (DOS, Unix, etc) operating system
Experience must be more than Mainframe platforms (Mainframe can be part of the mix). This position will work with Mainframe. Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and DB2 databases
MUST have Quality Manager experience
Be able to work closely with on-site and off-site team members to achieve team project objectives
Must have blue screen experience and have worked in a settlement experience and run authorizations through flat files or point of sale
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
Have the ability to learn quickly and understand concepts in order to meet project deadlines
Must enjoy working in a fast paced, constantly expanding, and changing environment
Have good organizational and time management skills
Be able to work equally well alone or as a member of a team
